Vaccination of foreign citizens in Serbia

Last night, the television company Mediaset broadcast a fifteen-minute report on the Italy 1 channel, which shows vaccination in Serbia and Italy.

The team of the television company Mediaset visited Serbia last weekend.

Under the headline “Serbia, a vaccine paradise”, journalist Gaetano Pecoraro underlined the great differences between Serbia, which is not in the European Union and which has so far vaccinated 30% of the population with at least one dose and where the population between 40 and 50 is currently vaccinated, and Italy. , which is part of Europe and only 14% of people have been vaccinated and immunization of people over 80 has not been completed yet.

What they pointed out the most is that it is possible to choose a vaccine in Serbia because, as Prime Minister Ana Brnabić told them, “The Government’s wish is for all people to feel safe”, and that vaccines from Russia were ordered on time. and China, with which Serbia has excellent diplomatic relations.

They emphasize good and efficient organization thanks to digitalization, which has enabled people to be invited within 24 hours and no later than 10 days after applying for the vaccine in Serbia, while in Italy people over 80 have been waiting for an invitation for two months. So far, Serbia has received tens of thousands of calls from abroad, mostly from the region and from Italy and Austria, and everyone who applied on the e-government portal will receive an invitation, the journalists pointed out.

Comparing the picture of vaccination in Serbia and Italy, they emphasize that in our country everything works like clockwork and that in the largest vaccination center about 7,800 people are vaccinated daily, and in Milan in the same center 450 of them.

In Lombardy, which has a population of 10 million, 27,000 people are vaccinated daily, and in Serbia, out of a population of 7.5 million, 53,000 in 24 hours. They conclude the article by saying that if it continues like this, Italy will reach collective immunity in February 2022, and Serbia in July this year.
