Italian Virtus defeated Juventud 80:75, in the first quarterfinal duel of the Eurocup.
The team from Bologna thus came to the 17th consecutive victory in the Eurocup this season.
They did not suffer any defeats, as they achieved all 10 victories in the first phase and six more triumphs in the Top 16 phase.
Juventud were better in the first half.
The Spanish team had a two-point advantage after the first quarter, they also had a +8 in the second half, and at halftime they left with a three-point advantage. Virtus led on only two occasions in the first half.
The guests took the lead during the entire third quarter, they also had +7, but they allowed Virtus to come back again and before the last 10 minutes it was a draw.
In the fourth quarter, Miloš Teodosić and Marko Belineli took over the responsibility, and in the middle of the last quarter, Virtus gained a significant advantage. They were better in the end and the victory was confirmed by Belinelli from the penalty line.
Miloš Teodosić recorded a double-double performance – 11 points and 10 assists, and he added five rebounds.
Stefan Markovic scored one point and had three rebounds and three steals.
The most efficient was Marco Belinelli with 24 points.
In the defeated team, Lopez-Arostegi stood out with 20 and Basas with 14 points.
