Squeeze the BRAKE, NOT THE GAS! On the event of the World Day of Visitors Accident Victims, an IMPORTANT LECTURE WAS HELD

“I still drive but I don’t walk”, is the name of one of them whose author is Slaviša Savić from the Association of Paraplegics of the Macvan District. Slavisa Savic shared his experiences when he had a car accident as a high school student and remained confined to a wheelchair with the graduates of the School of Economics.

He is also the author of a lecture that is part of the activities of the Council for the Coordination of Traffic Safety on the territory of the city of Sabac in order to improve traffic safety for young people.

– The lecture is based on personal experience that I want to pass on to these young people. Let me point out to them the importance of safe driving, respecting the regulations with the message “Squeeze the brake, not the gas” – Savić pointed out.

Statistics on the number of traffic accidents last year and this year are better compared to the previous period.

– Nevertheless, the eight victims in the area of ​​the police administration in Šabac, from the beginning of the year, indicate the need for such educational lectures, actions and activities – stated Katarina Tadić on behalf of the Council for Traffic Safety in Šabac.

The World Day dedicated to the victims of traffic accidents has been celebrated in the Republic of Serbia since November 21, 2007.
