Serbia’s Midi Natural launches fruit processing unit, opens 30 jobs

BELGRADE (Serbia), June 17 (SeeNews) – Serbian organic fruit producer Midi Organic has opened a facility for the thermal treatment of fruit at its plant in Donje Grgure, southern Serbia, a company representative said.

Midi Organic currently has 83 employees and intends to open 30 positions in the new unit, said Zika Janicijevic, a representative of Midi Organic, in a video file posted on the website of the Serbian news agency Tanjug on Sunday.

“We will make purees from all types of fruit. We are exclusively engaged in organic production and processing,” said Janicijevic.

The company has 480 suppliers and exports its products to all European countries and the USA under an agreement with the Dutch company Trading Organic.

Midi Organic, founded in 1991, organizes the processing, sale and export of plums, cherries, raspberries, blackberries, apples and strawberries, which are produced in 12 villages in the municipalities of Blace and Kursumlija in southern Serbia.

According to the Serbian Commercial Register, the company is wholly owned by the Serbian citizen Nenad Janicijevic.
