Next weekend, the Patriarch of the Serbian Orthodox Church Porfirije will visit the metropolis of Dabro-Bosnia on the occasion of the 50 years of monastic and 30-year episcopal service of Metropolitan Chrysostom.
On Saturday, October 16, the Patriarch’s reception is planned in the Church of the Nativity of the Most Holy Mother of God in Sarajevo, while on Sunday morning Easter morning will be served with the liturgy of the Holy Hierarch in the continuation.
On the same day at 3 p.m., the Patriarch will visit East Sarajevo, where he will be greeted by Mayor Ljubisa Cosic and the mayors of all six parishes.
After the reception and meeting in the city administration, a walk from the city administration building to the Republic of Serbia Square and further along the city streets is planned. According to Cosic, the influence of Patriarch Porfirije is enormous and each of his efforts in an area can certainly only bring good results.
Cosic expressed the hope that the citizens of East Sarajevo, but also the region, will welcome the patriarch and show him honor and respect because he has shown through his previous actions that he deserves it, writes Klix.ba.
