“As part of our investigation, after talks with a significant number of members of that clan, we came to information that took us to a secret room located in a house in Ritopek,” said Interior Minister Aleksandar Vulin.
Vulin visited the premises of the Police Administration for the city of Belgrade, where the newly seized weapons and explosives from the house in Ritopek, which belonged to the members of the Belivuk-Miljković clan, were exhibited, the Ministry of the Interior said in a statement.
Belivuk and 18 arrested are suspected of being as members of an organized criminal group, they committed the criminal offenses of association for the purpose of committing criminal offenses, aggravated murder and kidnapping.
Vulin said that people who were killed in the most cruel and monstrous way were brought to the “house of horrors”, the Ministry of the Interior announced.
“A secret room was found inside that house, very skilfully and efficiently hidden, which we might not have reached if it were not for those who were ready to share this information with us and in which we found a frighteningly large amount of weapons, more than 10 kilograms of various types of explosives, prepared and ready to be activated. In that room we also found industrial machines for grinding meat, for grinding bones. Members of our forensic teams are working on researching biological traces, which are in large quantities, “said Vulin.
The Minister added that the Prosecutor’s Office for Organized Crime is very satisfied with the quality and content of material evidence which, without any doubt, explains and indicates what the members of this organized criminal group did.
Minister Vulin told the public not to allow anyone to try to relativize what has been found and what is being revealed, and that no one is trying to present this as a political or fan showdown.
