New South Wales
All arrivals at the airport in Sydney are controlled, and passengers go to a three-day quarantine at home. Citizens who were at designated locations in Perth, who were visited by an infected man from Melbourne, were also asked to test and isolate themselves.
Anyone who arrived from Western Australia after 12 noon on Saturday must fill out a declaration confirming that they have not visited the places where he was infected.
Queensland
Everyone who has been to Perth or Pila since April 17 or later is required to take a covid test and enter mandatory quarantine by Tuesday, April 27, by two in the morning.
Masks must be worn if people need to go out for basic things or get health care.
Northern Territory
From Saturday at 12 o’clock, everyone who arrives from Perth or Pila must be in quarantine. Whoever was in these places and arrived earlier, is obliged to be tested and isolated until he gets a negative result.
Tasmania
The Tasmanian government has declared the Perth and Pila regions as high-risk areas, and anyone who wants to come to Tasmania will not be allowed to. If they are still granted an exemption for arrival, they will have to be quarantined for 14 days upon arrival.
South Australia
People from the Perth and Pila regions are banned from entering South Australia unless they are residents of this country who have been granted return or if they are workers who are necessary. Persons who arrived between midnight on April 17 and 24 must be tested on the first, fifth and 13th day and isolate themselves until they receive a negative test.
At the same time, 14 days after arrival, they must avoid “high-risk” events, which are attended by more than 1,000 people.
Capital Territory (ACT)
Whoever returned from the designated areas of Western Australia and Victoria at the designated times must undergo a test and self-isolate until a negative result is obtained. ACT residents who stayed in Perth or Pilla on April 17 or later, and intend to return home, must fill out an online form and will have to stay at home until Tuesday, April 27, at least until 2:00 p.m.
Hotels are not a quarantine solution
The Prime Minister of Western Australia, Mark McGowan, stated that returnees from abroad in hotel quarantines are under the jurisdiction of the Federal Government, and he called on the Prime Minister Scott Morrison to open other, special facilities for this purpose.
Specifically in Western Australia, according to him, there are a number of Commonwealth facilities that are more suitable for quarantine than hotels and in order to reduce the risk for the community, and now is the time for the Federal Government to take action on that issue.
