The legendary Scola is 41 years old and this season he is playing for the Italian Varese.

“I am happy here in Varese. I will make a decision about my future as soon as the season is over. The decision will be made quickly out of respect for the team and the club,” Scola said, according to Italian media.

He decided to play for another year in July 2020 before retiring, when he signed a contract with Varese for the 2020/21 season with the option to extend for another year.

During his 26-year career, Scola has played for: Oeste, Basconia, Gijon, Houston, Phoenix, Indiana, Toronto, Brooklyn, Shanzhi, Shanghai, Armani and Varese.

With the national team of Argentina, he won gold at the 2004 Olympics, bronze in 2008, and on two occasions silver at the World Championships in 2002 and 2019.
