I can not signal the regulation on same-sex unions

In an interview for the holiday issue of “Blic”, Vučić explained that Article 62 of the Constitution says that a man and a woman enter into marital relations of their own free will before state bodies, so that signing the mentioned law would violate the highest legal act of the state.

“The Constitution refers to the Family Law, which defines marriage as a legally regulated union of a man and a woman. Therefore, I would not be able to sign the law on same-sex unions and I would return it to the National Assembly,” Vucic said.

He says that he does not rule out the possibility that the Constitution will be changed in the future, but that it is like this today.

Asked what his personal attitude towards the law is, he says that he showed that by electing Ana Brnabić as Prime Minister, but also that he is not an ardent advocate of same-sex communities.

He adds that he is not interested in reactions.

“It is our job to make Serbia a modern and normal country, but also a country in which the legal order is respected,” Vucic concluded.

Vučić: Unacceptable recognition, the new non-paper is better than the previous ones

He states that the recognition mentioned in the non-paper about Kosovo and Metohija published by Pristina’s “Koha” is a difficult and unacceptable thing for Serbia, but that it is a paper much better than Ahtisaari’s plan and everything we have received so far.

In an interview for the holiday issue of the Blic newspaper, President Vučić says that there are other unacceptable things, such as the detail about Mitrovica.

“It is the only urban zone that Serbs have and want to take away from them. There are other things, the paper was compiled by someone very competent, who understands everything. It will certainly not be easy for us,” said Vucic.

He thinks that this paper is much better than Ahitisari’s plan and than everything we have received so far.

“It shows that those who say you can never get a better paper are wrong. It’s just that it used to come, I’m not saying it’s the case now, a situation where there really is no better,” the president said, adding that he was a former president. FRY Slobodan Milosevic had to understand – until when you can, and when not.

“It is up to the state leadership,” Vucic emphasized.

He pointed out that the problem is how to explain to Serbs that everyone has the right to everything, except Serbs.

“Our task is a smart approach, preserving peace and stability, to fight much more for economic interests than territorial ones, I’m not talking about Kosovo,” said the President of Serbia.

Vučić pointed out that we must understand the state of affairs, invest in artificial intelligence, robotics, the IT sector, genomic institutes and go into the future.

The President pointed out that if we continue to develop at this pace, so much faster than everyone in the region, we will not need anything else.

“That is why we must not allow anyone to provoke us. And I want to be remembered not for two, but for 50 years, as the president who built the most hospitals, clinical centers, health centers, most roads, highways, railways, museums , theaters “, said Vučić and emphasized that he does not want to be remembered as someone who” returned children in coffins to their mothers “.

Responding to the statement that the Prime Minister of the Provisional Institutions of Pristina, Albin Kurti, does not show good will for talks, Vučić said that he would have to show it and that he would be under great pressure, but he pointed out that Kurti traded in this and wanted to say that it was very important. .

“He shows his attitude towards dialogue, disrespect towards us and the mediators, but that is up to him,” said Vucic, adding that he was not in the least fascinated by Kurti.

Vučić: Elections next year in March or April

As for the elections, the president says that they will be held in March or April next year.

“There are only three dates when it is possible to hold elections,” Vucic said.

When asked whether the elections will be separated, Vučić answered that he does not see the need for that.

“I don’t see the need for that, I don’t understand that, but if we hear valid arguments, I’m ready to talk. You can’t separate what comes to you by law at a certain time,” Vucic pointed out.

When asked if he was afraid of the elections in Belgrade, the president answered that he was afraid of all elections and that all elections were difficult for the SNS.

“As for the elections in Belgrade, I believe that our political opponents have a huge chance, that they are the favorites in those elections, that our chances are small, but we will fight,” said Vucic.

When asked what would be a good result for the SNS in those elections, Vučić answered that it is important for the SNS to show what has been done, citing the bypass from Pupin’s bridge to Pancevo, the Batajnica loop, overpasses, the bypass around Belgrade, Belgrade on the water, many parks and highlighting the incredible jump in living standards in Belgrade, where the average salary is 700 euros.

When asked what percentage of votes he would be satisfied with, Vučić said that he was not talking about percentages, but about the achieved results and that this was the most important thing for him.

Answering the question about the role of Aleksandar Šapić in the Belgrade elections, Vučić said that Šapić’s role will be important not only in the Belgrade elections, but also in many other elections.

He also announced big changes in the SNS and that there will be a lot of talk about it, that there will be a Presidency at the beginning of May, and then a scheduled session of the Main Board.

When asked if the SNS can be great without Aleksandar Vučić, he said: “I’m sure it can.”

Commenting that the research shows otherwise, Vučić says that it is so today.

“But when we show who the new leader of the SNS is and when these people show that they know how to work, and I will fight for them to be the best people who know what a party is, what politics is, and the research results will be different,” Vucic is convinced.

When asked who and how the opposition can overthrow him, Vučić said that they can overthrow him every day, but not by theorizing, but by working seriously.

On the occasion of the beginning of the inter-party dialogue, Vučić said that he would do everything that is good for the country, and that the other thing is whether it will be enough for some or he will look for a reason not to participate in the elections, because they know they cannot gain people’s trust.

Vučić stated that in principle he is very satisfied with the first meeting with the representatives of the opposition, that there are certain different views, but also good will to listen to each other, and he believes and understands.

Asked whether communication with the leaders of Dveri, the parties that boycotted the last elections, was possible at the meeting, Vučić answered that they were ready for a rational, civilized conversation and assessed that the atmosphere was good.
