Preschoolers aged 13 months to 3 years were admitted for treatment with a more severe clinical picture, in the meantime their condition has now significantly improved.
– All children attend a private kindergarten. In the previous days, the number of children with the same problems has increased, and not everyone comes to us from this institution. We expect the kids to be out of the hospital tomorrow – said Dr. Dara Bozovic, head of the children’s department.
The Uzice Institute for Public Health, the Sanitary and Veterinary Inspection perform supervision in the mentioned kindergarten.
– Children do not have the corona virus, and stomach rotavirus was isolated during the day. The condition of the children is far better than after admission to the hospital – adds Danijela Vasiljevic, spokesperson for the Health Center in Uzice.
Rotavirus is an explosive stomach virus, the clinical picture is developing rapidly, and most of the problems are caused by dehydration of the body due to the fact that hospital treatment is often needed, the doctors explained.
