Bahrain Labour Minister inspects Youngster Safety Centre | THE DAILY TRIBUNE

Minister of Labor and Social Development and Chairman of the National Children’s Committee, Jameel bin Mohammed Ali Humaidan, paid an inspection visit to the Manama Child Protection Center today.

The visit is part of the minister’s follow-up on the centre’s efforts to address cases of abuse, violence or negligence that children may be exposed to.

The Minister is also interested in reviewing the quality of existing services and procedures for protecting children, treating them and reintegrating them into society in order to lead normal life in a safe family environment that is an inherent right in them Kingdom is guaranteed.

The Minister reaffirmed the willingness of the Ministry of Labor and Social Development to improve the professional efficiency of the Child Protection Center as part of its efforts to implement the provisions of Law 4/2021 on the promulgation of the Law on Corrective Justice for Children and their Protection from Diseases -Treatment, ratified and issued by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.

He pointed out that the center, in cooperation with the relevant authorities, provides protection for children from abuse in the family and society and raises awareness of ways to protect children and support their rights.

The minister was briefed on the mechanisms by which the situation of abused children can be followed up. The center receives complaints via the toll-free hotline (998).
