Younger competitors are engaged in this challenging sport and winning awards. There is a girl among them.

Sunny weather gathered speed fans on the Čačak track on Ljeljen.

Both experienced competitors and the youngest ones train and drive seriously. Among them is nine-year-old Ana. She says that she did not find herself in motorsport by accident.

“I, my brother and dad, ride motorcycles in cross country, and mom rides on asphalt. I started five months ago, I will only compete on April 4 and I am getting ready, of course, “said Ana Kolnokov from Belgrade.

At the age of thirteen, Aleksa Milosavljević is already experienced in motorsport.

He started driving when he was only four years old, and last year he won a double title for the Čačak award on this same track.

“My first race was at five, and I was the state champion three times. This year, I am competing for the championships of Serbia, and if I am the champion of Serbia this year, I will also win the Golden Helmet, “said Aleksa Milosavljević, from AMSK Čačak.

Eleven-year-old Andrej Popović also won the Serbian championship in his class.

“I like this sport because it is extreme, it needs a lot of adrenaline, there are curves, jumps …”, said Andrej Popović from Arilje.

For Miloš Đorđević, the season was the crown of success.

He won the Golden Helmet, the highest accolade because he was a five-time champion in the same category. He has been playing motor sports for almost two decades.

“The most important thing is a wish, a lot of training and perseverance come from that wish, and then it is equal to a goal and the realization of a dream, that is, a title and a victory,” said Milos Djordjevic, the winner of the Golden Helmet.

Coronavirus has largely shifted competition plans, training and performances over the past year.

However, the Čačak auto moto club won the team title and several other significant awards.

“We expect this season to repeat those successes and to finally start competing in Europe, that is, to start competing for the Eastern European Championship this season,” said Slobodan Tanaskovic, president of AMSK, Cacak.

Čačak Auto Moto Club has existed since 1946.

They have been inviolable in motocross for years, and this, by all standards, competition track on Ljeljen, means a lot to them for regular training.
