Chelsea players have won a double crown this season in terms of European trophies by winning the European Super Cup.
After a better penalty shootout, they celebrated against the winner of the Europa League, Villarreal.
The regular course of the match ended with the result 1: 1.
Plavce was led by Hakim Zijeh in the 27th minute with the assistance of Kai Haverc. He later had to leave the game due to injury.
Gerard Moreno scored the equalizing goal in the 73rd minute.
After the regular 90 minutes and overtime, there were no winners, so the penalty shootout started.
The first penalty for Chelsea was missed by Kai Haverc, but in the second series, Aise Mendi’s shot stopped Kepa.
This goalkeeper became the hero of the Blues when, in the seventh series, he defended his second penalty to Raul Albiola, which was enough for the trophy.
