Milorad Dodik says that Schmidt is an unelected foreigner who falsely presents himself as a High Representative without a mandate as a party to Annex 10, which introduces the High Representative through the Dayton system in BiH.
He reminded that the High Representative is not in the general provisions of the Dayton Agreement, neither in the Constitution of BiH, ie Annex 4, nor in any other annex.
Christian Schmidt met in Sarajevo with BiH Presidency Chairman Zeljko Komsic and Bosniak member Sefik Dzaferovic, after which he said that he would use all his strength to withdraw the country to the European Union, and before that to create a dialogue and a normal environment in BiH.
Dodik says he has no obligation to be in the BiH presidency and meet with Schmidt.
“We want him to identify himself, then we will be able to say ‘now we can or can’t talk to you in some form, here you are the envoy of the USA and Germany, write that it is so, but you are not a high representative,'” Dodik said in an interview. for RTRS.
Dodik estimates that Schmidt was illegitimately elected High Representative in order to create the worst possible situation in BiH and for people to continue leaving this area.
“His story is that he came to stop people from leaving. Well, he was set up for people to leave. You need people and you want to make the situation worse here – that’s why you impose laws – to make the situation worse and encourage people to they go to Germany and have a manual workforce there, “Dodik said.
Dodik points out that the Republika Srpska does not obstruct anything with its moves, because its political representatives did not leave the BiH bodies, but stated that they would not decide in the BiH bodies.
He says that the Republika Srpska is becoming problematic, despite the fact that the Federation of BiH has not had an elected government for three years and that nothing can function in that entity without the mediation of the international community.
Dodik pointed out that the reaction of the Russian Embassy in BiH to the imposition of changes to the BiH Criminal Code followed because Russia saw a clear determination of the Republika Srpska in terms of resistance to the imposed solution.
“We do not have a dialogue with the Russians on that topic. When we meet, we only state that. Russia is persistently trying to protect international law,” Dodik said.
He says the imposition of the law has caused a serious political crisis in BiH.
He adds that one can talk about the content of the law, but that the fact is that someone imposed the law, and that he has no right to do so, and that one part of BiH thinks that it is OK.
“We in Republika Srpska believe that this is not right and we do not want to support it,” Dodik said.

The Serbian member of the Presidency said that the leadership of Serbia today has the best relationship with the Republika Srpska and the greatest understanding.
Dodik pointed out that the strength of the relations between Srpska and Serbia lies precisely in the support, and not in the impositions.
“We also need to understand their international position. They know perfectly well that there must be no obstacles to economic projects and issues and cooperation with us, nor can anyone forbid that,” Dodik said in an interview with RTRS.
Speaking about tomorrow’s meeting of the leadership of Srpska and Serbia, Dodik said that the complex political situation in BiH would be discussed in Belgrade, but also the continuation of key joint, such as Hydro-Power Plant “Buk Bijela”, construction of the highway from Bijeljina to the border. on Rača, and the construction of Trebinje Airport.
He notes that BiH is making it impossible, instead of supporting the construction of HPP “Buk Bijela”.
Dodik pointed out that Serbia is currently the most powerful country in the Balkans, and that President Aleksandar Vučić raised the country politically at the international level, and regionally set it as the most powerful in the economic, political and military sense.
Speaking about Kosovo and Metohija, Dodik said that the problem of Republika Srpska is reopening, since Serbia will not solve the problem of Kosovo and Metohija in the way the West intended.
Dodik says that as a Serb, he is happy to hear that 10 countries will withdraw the recognition of Kosovo’s self-proclaimed independence.
“In any case, Serbia shows that it can do it alone, have a strong leader, develop, build highways, hospitals, increase average salaries. Now that it shows the ability to progress, now they are stopping it,” Dodik said.
