Red Star captain and goalkeeper Milan Borjan said that this was an unreal season for everyone at the club.
The red and whites won the double crown after 14 years, as they defeated Partizan in the final of the Serbian Cup last night at the “Rajko Mitic” stadium after taking a 4: 3 penalty.
– The year was unreal for all of us at the club. There was only one defeat from Hoffenheim in the group stage of the Europa League, I think this is a success for all of us. I’m really proud of my teammates, they did a great job. Many do not know what we went through in the locker room, but these guys have their hats down and everything came back to us – said Borjan for the club’s website.
Borjan was one of the heroes of Zvezda’s victory because he defended two penalties.
– God gave us back with a double crown after so many years and with all these successes, breaking records and everything, I want to thank my family, son and wife who are my greatest support and are always with me, fans, teammates and club management.
