Bahrain is committed to promoting education by inspiring youth to develop innovation and creativity and to support their efforts to serve society.
This was emphasized by HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Vice Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports (SCYS) and President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC), at the closing ceremony of the 3rd Khalid bin Hamad Innovation Competition yesterday in the artificial intelligence competition held under his auspices.
The competition was organized by the Polytechnic University of Bahrain in cooperation with the media office of Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Information and E-Government Authority, Microsoft and Almoayyed Computers Middle East and by the Ahli United Bank (platinum) of the Bahrain National Gas Company (Silver) sponsored. and Ithmar Bank (silver). Supporters of the competition included Bahrain FinTech Bay and ThinkSmart.
HH Shaikh Khalid honored the winners during the graduation ceremony. He also toured the winning projects in various fields and was briefed on their projects by the attendees.
HH Shaikh Khalid said, “Holding this prestigious competition is in line with our desire to implement the instructions of King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa to promote education in Bahrain by stimulating the innovation and creativity of our youth and their efforts to serve our society support.
“Our goal is to help them and develop their talents so that they can contribute to the programs put in place by the government under the direction of HRH
Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Prime Minister of the Crown Prince, will implement Bahra Rain Economic Vision 2030. “
SH Shaikh Khalid added: “We are delighted with the extraordinary participation in the 3rd edition despite the ongoing extraordinary circumstances due to the coronavirus (COVID-19). We will continue to support Kingdom education outcomes so that next generations can benefit from advanced learning techniques and develop their skills. “
Shaikh Ali bin Abdulrahman Al Khalifa, acting CEO of Bah- rain Polytechnic University, President of the High Organizing Committee, said participation in the third edition improved previous editions by 43%, while the number of projects submitted rose by 23% in comparison be to the first and second edition.
