The coach of the Bayern Munich football player, Hansi Flick, confirmed that he had talked with the leaders of the German Football Association, about taking over the selector’s function.
Flick is leaving Bayern at the end of the season, and the Munich club announced earlier that the new coach will be Julian Nagelsman, the current coach of Leipzig.
The current coach of Germany, Joachim Lev, previously announced his departure from that position, after this year’s European Championship, and Flick was his assistant from 2006 to 2014.
– There have already been conversations with Oliver Birof. There were other conversations as well. Being the coach of Germany is something special – said Flick.
Flick could win his second German title with Bayern tomorrow, if the Bavarian team defeats Borussia Monchengladbach.
Bayern could reach the title tomorrow if the second-placed Leipzig loses to the Borussia Dortmund team.
