Thanks to its cameras, Google has covered a large part of the planet in order to make the map as detailed as possible in its application. However, it cannot be expected that all data will be updated in real time, so they offered a solution for such cases.
Some street you’re sure exists (maybe even live in it) may look like a meadow on Google Maps. That’s why Google has decided to harness the power of the majority, and allow people who use the app to chart missing paths.
This is quite simple – if you know that a street exists and is not on the map, all you have to do is open Google Maps via your computer, go to the “Edit the Map” option, and select “Missing Road”.
Then you can draw the missing street and correct the ones that are entered incorrectly, whether they are misspelled names or incorrectly marked directions in which the traffic is moving.
Of course, if you type something into Google Maps, it doesn’t mean that the information will appear immediately. It will first have to pass an audit of the company before it is approved, but if everything goes well, there is no reason not to accept it.
