With the victory in Lisbon, the Serbian national football team qualified for the big competition after four years and at the same time secured an extraordinary monetary award.
In addition to the premium of one million euros promised to them personally by President Aleksandar Vučić before taking off for Portugal, the Eagles provided the Portuguese Football Association with a great salary of as much as 12 million dollars this Sunday evening by winning the “Puddle”.
That is the amount of the premium that FIFA awards to each of the 32 national teams that qualified for Qatar, according to the model of 10 million for the placement itself + 2 million for the preparations of each selection.
By the way, the prize fund for the World Cup in Qatar should amount to around 700 million dollars, which is even 22 percent more than in relation to the World Cup in Russia in 2018. The amount determined for player insurance and club compensation will be determined later.
Let us also mention that the winner of the World Cup will earn 50 million dollars, while, for example, the French collected 38 million greenbacks two years ago, and Germany after the celebrations in Brazil in 2014 – 35 million greenbacks.
The placement in the eighth finals brings two more, and the quarterfinals an additional six million dollars. Entry into the semifinals is worth 25 million dollars, third place is 30, finals 40, and the title of champion 50 million dollars.
