Youngsters from the Sofia hospital are arriving in Serbia by helicopter tomorrow

Injured children will be transported from the “Pirgov” hospital to Serbia by helicopters of the Republic of Serbia with two medical teams, according to the Bulgarian media.

As they write, two helicopters will land at the airport in Sofia at 10:45.

The take-off is scheduled for 11:15, and the medical transport will be accompanied by specialized MUP teams.

According to announcements, a press conference by the Bulgarian Minister of Health, Asen Medzhidiyev, is expected immediately after the helicopter takes off.

14 people, 12 children and two adults, were injured in an accident on the Trakia highway on August 14. The accident occurred when the bus carrying members of the folklore ensemble from Batajnica fell into a ditch and overturned.

Seven children arrived in Serbia on Monday evening, while two were transferred to the Sofia hospital “Pirgov”.

The director of “Pirogov” Valentin Dimitrov said yesterday that the children are still in serious condition, but that their lives are not threatened.
