Kon pointed out that if all the requirements proposed by the medical part of the crisis staff were adopted, the logical sequence of circumstances would be that only those with kovid passes were allowed to attend the celebrations.
– In any case, in the current epidemiological situation, it is not wise to go to celebrations similar to the New Year’s Eve with these measures. After 8 pm, only with kovid passes, a gathering can be organized in catering facilities. It will probably be the same for the New Year – the epidemiologist states.
He points out that one cannot know too much in advance.
– If the variant of the circulating virus changes, so that it is transmitted easily among those who have been vaccinated, the question arises as to how much higher the risk of celebrations will be. In any case, one should be rational and reduce the risk as much as possible, because there are really no jokes with this disease – Kon pointed out about organizing celebrations.
Dr. Predrag Kon confirmed that the medical part of the crisis staff is very strong in terms of its views and proposed measures, and the introduction of covid passes for 24 hours is the “minimum that can be required.”
He explicitly emphasized that all measures in force should be strictly respected.
Kon stated that the idea was to start with catering facilities, and then to expand the measures to everything else.
For shopping malls and all stores in general, the most important thing is the use of protective masks with maximum control, while for larger gatherings and sports activities, kovid passes are required.

The epidemiologist explained the reasons why the measure of validity of kovid passes was corrected from 10 pm to 8 pm.
– It was said that we must be ready to control the implementation of measures and that the introduction of covid passes 24 hours is not currently feasible in terms of control – concludes Kon.
