After two initial defeats, United recorded their third victory in a row and with nine points occupies the fifth position in the Premier League table, one point less than the fourth-placed Brighton. Leicester remained tied to the bottom of the table with one point won.
The minimum victory and three new points were secured by the team from Manchester in the 23rd minute. Rashford did an excellent job of Sancho who found himself alone in the penalty area and hit the bottom right corner of Leicester’s goal with a precise shot.
In the next round, United welcome Arsenal, and Leicester visit Brighton.
