The American Secret Service published its list of the most wanted fugitives, on which they found themselves suspected of participating in various financial schemes of fraud.
The list is not a surprise – most of the 10 suspects are citizens of Russia and Ukraine, Blic reported Fox News.
They have been charged with a variety of crimes, including security fraud, money laundering and computer fraud. In addition to protecting the president and other leaders, the federal agency is investigating financial and cyber crimes, Fox News points out.
Among the fugitives listed are Artem Viecheslavovich Radchenko, a Ukrainian accused of recruiting another person on the list, Oleksandr Vitalyevich Yeremenko, both 29, and others who hacked the computer network of the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and stole data related to companies’ earnings before than they were published.
A reward of one million dollars was offered for both of them.
Alan Garcia (36), a resident of Costa Rica, allegedly led the daily operations “Liberty Reserves”, which operates in digital currency. Federal prosecutors allege that the company was a payment processor designed to help users hide transactions and “launder” the proceeds of crime.
The secret service said that the company has grown into the financial center of the world of cybercrime.
The list also includes 33-year-old American Rashad Lamar Tuloh, who conducted an online auction scam through a group based in Romania, which took millions of dollars from the victims. He managed the operations of receiving and converting payments into bitcoin or cash.
Other on the list of most wanted are Russian citizens Roman Sergeyevich Kotov, Danil Potekhin, Dmitry Vadimovich Karasavidi, Farhad Rauf, Ogli Manohin, Ahmed Yasin Abdelgani and 38-year-old Pavel Pavlovich Dubova from Ukraine.
