Bahrain’s climbing team will soon be leaving for Nepal to conquer the mountain. Everest, the highest mountain that is now 0.86 meters higher than previously measured.
The team also announced in a statement on their Instagram account that they had completed the COVID-19 vaccinations.

According to the Nepalese embassy in Bahrain, the team has 13 Bahraini and three British citizens, according to a report by Chabarhub.
The report also says the team, including His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, will reach Nepal by the 15th of this month.
According to reports, eSeven Summit Treks is helping their stay in Nepal for the next 79 days. The ascent to Mt. Everest is organized by Seven Summit Trek, a Nepal-based company.
khabarhub also reports that the team met the Nepalese ambassador in Bahrain Padam Sundas last week and briefed him on the expedition.
A message from the embassy said the team would reach the country on a special plane.
The Bahraini team had also conquered Mount Lobuche on their way to Mount Manaslu, which is 8,163 meters above sea level.
The report, which quotes Nepalese officials, also said that Nepal will allow around 300 foreigners to climb Mount Everest next spring.
According to reports, the Bahrain team will immediately flock to base camp or nearby trekking peaks to acclimate. Shaikh Nasser had previously said that reaching Manaslu Summit improved the team’s ability to climb Mount Everest and fly the Bahraini flag on top.
“We are very keen to give our full support to the men of the Royal Guard who are highly skilled that enabled them to face various challenges in order to reach the Manaslu Summit, but they now have the greater challenge, the Summit of Everest, “he said.
The royal mountaineering team successfully climbed Mount Manaslu, the eighth highest mountain on earth, in October last year.
Christopher Anthony, one of the members of the expedition team, had said: “The entire expedition was the brainchild of HH Shaikh Nasser.”
Seven Summit Treks also supported Bahraini climbers last year in the ascent of Mt. Manaslu.

In a statement to Chabarhub, Thaneswar Guragai, the Seven Summit Treks manager, welcomed Bahraini nationals, including Prince Al Khalifa and three British nationals from the Bahrain Royal Guard Expedition, as the first South Asians to climb all 14 peaks above 8,000 meters.
