Serbia’s NIS tops turnover checklist on Belgrade bourse, share indices finish down
BELGRADE (Serbia), May 8th (SeeNews) – Oil and gas company NIS [BEL:NIIS] achieved the highest turnover on the Belgrade Stock Exchange on Wednesday as stock indices fell, stock market data showed.
A total of 10,417 NIS shares changed hands and achieved a turnover of 7.6 million dinars. The NIS share price fell 0.14% to 729 dinars.
The BELEX15 index, which shows the most liquid stocks on the Belgrade Stock Exchange, ended the session 0.18% lower at 735.03 points.
Soybean processing company soy protein [BEL:SJPT] topped the list of blue-chip winners when the share price rose 2.27% to 180 dinars.
The broader BELEXline, a free float weighted index based on market capitalization, fell 0.07% to 1,583.10.
The total turnover on the exchange fell on Wednesday from 989.7 million dinars on Tuesday to 12.6 million dinars (119,878 USD / 107,017 euros) as 153 transactions were carried out.
Trading on the Multilateral Trade Facility (MTP) of the exchange achieved a turnover of 130,039 dinars.
No government bonds changed hands on the stock exchange on Wednesday.
