In a statement, Bayern stated that the German national team player “found an anomaly in his left knee, which was removed by arthroscopy.”
Gorecka (27) also had problems with a knee injury last season. He has been a member of Bayern since 2018, and before that he played for Schalke and Bochum. The German international played just 27 matches for Bayern in all competitions last season and scored three goals.
Bayern is currently in the USA for pre-season training. The club from Munich will play a match against DC United in Washington on the night between Wednesday and Thursday, and then three days later they will meet in Green Bay with Manchester City.
Bayern will start the new season in the Bundesliga on August 5th when they host Eintracht in Frankfurt.
