Lenten honey cake – Information on-line
Ingredients:
100 g of honey
teaspoon baking soda
250 g of flour
300 g of sugar
bad margarine
250 g ground walnuts
vanilla sugar
Ingredients for vanilla glaze:
3 tablespoons cold water
180 g of vanilla sugar
Chocolate glaze ingredients:
a piece of margarine
100 g of cooking chocolate
1 dl vode
Preparation
Step 1: Boil crystal sugar, honey and vanilla sugar with 2 dl of water, stirring constantly.
Step 2: Cool the syrup and add flour, nuts and baking soda.
Step 3: Combine the dough and leave it overnight.
Step 4: During the next day, transfer the dough to a tray greased with margarine and sprinkled with flour, bake and glaze with vanilla glaze or chocolate glaze as desired.
Step 5: Make the vanilla glaze by mixing 180 g of vanilla sugar with very little cold water until it turns white.
Step 6: The chocolate glaze is made by melting 100 g of cooking chocolate with 1 dl of water and mixing until the mass is even, then at the end add a piece of margarine.
Your honey cake is ready.
