The first two matches were won by the European team against the rest of the world. The Norwegian Rud, after a great fight, has more strength in the tie-break set and defeated Soka. An even fight in the second set until the eleventh game, the tennis players kept their serve, not a single break opportunity was seen. Then the American comes to three tied break points, he used the first one. Then he was confident on his serve and thus won the second set in his favor – 7:5.
A third, decisive, tie-break set followed. Review of mini-breaks, in which the American was the first to reach the advantage. However, the Norwegian quickly turned around and then gained an unattainable advantage and eventually won this set and the match – 10:7 in the tiebreak.
In the second match, Tsitsipas was convincing against Schwartzman – 2:0. In the first set, he allowed his rival to win only one game. After a somewhat better start by his opponent in the second set, he quickly put things back in place and blew away his rival.
