Conflict of orchestras in Ukraine, Wagner vs. Mozart

The doctrine of the American neoconservatives, who at the beginning of the war in Iraq “outsourced” part of the military actions, which, in the end, led to a scandal and a series of murders committed by the mercenaries of the “Blackwater” company, has been extended, in recent years, to almost all conflicts in the world. , including the fight for oil fields in Libya, conflicts in Mali, the battle for supremacy in Syria and, finally, the war in Ukraine.

The company “Mozart”, which consists of former American, British and Irish soldiers and officers, is training Ukrainian forces in the immediate vicinity of the front, because the authorities in Kiev fear possible penetration of Russian forces. Among them are former members of Kfor, reports the British Guardian.

According to Western sources, members of “Mozart” enter Ukraine mostly from Bulgaria, from where they go straight to the front lines, where they train groups of 100 to 120 people, who come to the training straight from the front lines. “Mozart”, according to the Americans, is mostly financed by individual donors.

This company was hired because it turned out that modern weapons, which have been arriving for months from the west, either do not reach the front lines, or the soldiers do not know how to use them properly. At the end of April, Western sources claimed that only 30 to 40 percent of the weapons entering Ukraine reached the front lines.

The situation allegedly changed for the better when the new US military attache Gerrick Harmon arrived in Kyiv at the beginning of August, with the sole task of controlling and supervising the process of the arrival of weapons.

Since the beginning of the war, America has delivered $23 billion worth of weapons and equipment to Ukraine, according to the Kiel Institute for World Economy. According to the same source, Great Britain allocated 3.7 billion, Germany 1.4 and Poland 1.8 billion US dollars.

However, Western diplomats and representatives of “Mozart” claim that none of their members participates in the fighting, mostly due to Washington’s caution that such a move could represent an escalation of the conflict.

“Any member of the Mozart Group who participates in combat immediately ceases to be part of the company. That point is clear,” said the company’s founder and former Marine colonel, Andrew Milburn.

Washing the image of “Azov”

Apart from the training of new soldiers, “Mozart” also participates in the operation of “washing the image” of the Azov brigade, which for years has been followed by the reputation of an ultra-right or neo-Nazi organization.

“Mozart” has been training the members of “Azov” since the battle for Mariupol, but the American veterans claim that they do not have time to properly train the Ukrainians. “120 bullets are not enough to bring a man who has never held a weapon in his hand to the level of hitting a target,” according to “Mozart” experts. They also say that at least one Ukrainian shot himself in the leg during the exercises.

“Wagner” in Mali, Syria, Libya…

On the other side of the front is the company “Wagner”, the Russian version of the outsourcing of war actions, which since its establishment in 2014 has been engaged in several battlefields, including Syria, Libya, Mali, Mozambique, and since February also in Ukraine.

“Vladimir Putin’s private army”, as the Western media call it, the company “Wagner”
employs about 10,000 former soldiers, intelligence officers and officers, who were first seen on the front lines during the previous war in Ukraine eight years ago.

The American authorities consider “Wagner” to be a proxy force of the Russian army, which the officials of that company and the authorities in Moscow deny, claiming that it is a private company that operates on the basis of commercial contracts.

“Wagner” has contracts with the Syrian authorities of Bashar al-Assad and the military authorities in Mali, as well as groups close to Khalifa Haftar in Libya.

Western intelligence agencies describe “Wagner” as a network of interconnected organizations, which is the biggest difference compared to Blackwater, for whose services the US authorities in Iraq and Afghanistan paid huge billions of dollars, before the scandals broke out, so the company changed its name and owner. .

The founder of this organization is an oligarch close to Putin, Yevgeny Prigozhin, who is wanted by the US Federal Bureau of Investigation for alleged interference in the 2016 presidential election.

The French also strongly protested against the activities of “Wagner”, who claim that Russian mercenaries are directly responsible for the worsening of the situation in Mali, since they “marked the French troops as neo-colonial forces with negative propaganda”, which led to an increase in threats of violence, and finally until the withdrawal of the French from that country.
