The meeting of the parties of the old parliamentary majority, which formed the government after the elections of August 30, 2020, was organized after the President of Montenegro Milo Đukanović proposed shortening the mandate of the 27th convocation of the Assembly.
Đukanović stated that the conditions have not been met to entrust the mandate for the composition of the Government to Demos leader Miodrag Lekić.
The parties of the old parliamentary majority are agreed to form a new Government of Montenegroand that Miodrag Lekić should be the mandate holder, announced yesterday the president of the New Serbian Democracy and one of the leaders of the Democratic Front, Andrija Mandić.
Representatives of those parties previously met several times in order to reach an agreement on the election of representatives and leadership of the Assembly.
Parliamentary majority from the 2020 election she signed the agreement, which has seven pointsand the first is that DPS does not participate in the new government.
