Serbian fire polo player Dušan Mandić was in a great mood after the triumph of our national team in the grand final of the Olympic Games in Tokyo.
Serbian water polo players won a gold medal today at the Olympic Games in Tokyo, as they beat the Greek team with 13:10 (6: 3, 2: 4, 2: 2, 3: 1). They thus defended the gold medal won at the last Olympic Games in Rio, in 2016.
After the match, one of the heroes of the final thanked his colleagues who are saying goodbye to the national team after this competition.
– I owe this primarily to these seven who played the last game in their careers today. They have been my older brothers and fathers during all these ten years, I can freely say that. I owe them everything, thank them all, they will be remembered forever. Congratulations to them, I learned from the best – said 27-year-old Mandic.
Dušan greeted his wife Slađa and daughter Lenka.
– This is also for them – said Mandic.
At the end of the conversation, he joked.
– Just one more thing… Does anyone want to go to water polo?
