If you can’t resist swimming in the transparent blue water of the sea that splashes the stone beach, know that there is healing mud on that beach. Bigova belongs to the municipality of Kotor, and is located in the bay of Trašte, only 15 minutes drive from Tivat and Kotor, and about 20 from Budva.

One of the pearls of the Bay of Kotor, is located a 15-minute drive from Tivat Airport, on the north side of the Lustica peninsula, a place where the view of Prevlaka, the islands of St. Mark and Our Lady of Mercy “shoots”. Lovers of this fairy-tale place call it “Mali Sveti Stefan”. Bjelila has a source of fresh water Frutak, where in the past women from the village and surrounding places came to wash “white” clothes, as they said at the time, and so the place got its name. – Bleach. Here, in one of the restaurants, you will try the most delicious fish soup made from scrapie and eat the highest quality fish and seafood caught that morning: the host hunts, the host prepares for you! The restaurant has its own garden of vegetables, and the cheese from the oil is home-made. You will not miss the inspiration for photos.

And still on Luštica… The whole peninsula is a challenge and an adventure, to set aside a day to visit hidden places on this beautiful piece of land that plunges into the sea is a good decision. We suggest you visit the fortress of Arza, a fantastic location and building from the time of the Austro-Hungarian rule, which even today looks like a monumental guard – the guardian of the peninsula. From there you can rent a quad vehicle and make a “detour” through Lustica’s quiet villages and olive groves overlooking the sea.
Stop by Morić estate which spreads over about 6 hectares and on which there are 1000 olive trees, most of which are over 350 years old. There, Dr. Ilija Morić produces organic olive oil and teaches guests the rules and methods of tasting olive oil. Continue the adventure through Luštica to the neighboring farm Pony Art Garden where academic jazz musicians who are also great cooks created their paradise on earth, and pony and donkey pets walk freely and without “work obligations” on their property, goats are everywhere around from whose milk they make great cheeses, they also have hot peppers… Here you can try liqueurs made of myrtle, cactus… but also various culinary magic from groceries from Luštica.
Vrlja waterfall, Turčini village
Gornja Lastva. On the sunny slopes of Vrmac, which overlooks Tivat, tucked away in Mediterranean fragrances, the village Gornja Lastva is in itself a rarity and attraction. In the village there are stone houses, yards with a stone garden setting, and a “saw” – a vessel that every house still has today, in which olive oil was once kept, ruins overgrown with greenery, an olive mill from the XIX century… Fences are also stone, decorated in some places interesting pots like flower pots, and old abandoned houses decorated with creepers, the only sound that is heard is – the music of nature. A place of peace and quiet, and the board in the village “No stress zone” will point you to that. There are few locals in the village, but they will invite you to homemade brandy and will gladly tell some beautiful stories related to this place with a long history. You will enjoy the walk and the view, and take photos at every step – an incredible contrast to the center of Tivat, from which this village is located at a distance of only 3 kilometers.
And above Kotor? Above Kotor, we recommend that you go on a famous trip through the Lovćen serpentines to Njeguš and Lovćen. It is interesting in Njeguši ethno village of St. George, and the landscapes on the way to it are fantastic scenes and the village is unusual, the air is fresh and pleasant in summer, and in the evening it is pleasantly cool, the food in the restaurant is a traditional traditional food.

Another recommendation for a fantastic, comprehensive view of the Bay of Kotor in all its beauty and power – terrace of the restaurant “Horizonti” at the location of Žanjev Do, on the last serpentine above Kotor, or the first from the direction of Njeguš.
Gutters. The village above Herceg Novi, the “stone nest”, a diamond on the diadem of the bride of the Adriatic, which can be reached by the road leading from Meljine to Bosnia and Herzegovina. In Kameno, a narrow winding road separates from the main road and climbs a forest and vegetation overgrown hill and leads you to a village where the roofs of stone houses are. It is an example of how man lives from nature, in the middle of nature in harmony with it, using stone as an artistic and building material, appreciating both the stone and every inch of fertile land that is created there only when the stone is cleared. There are not many inhabitants in the village, but there is a tavern in Sikimic where the host, who welcomes guests, tells the history of the village that was burned by the Italians in the past, and again people built stone by stone. Here you can treat yourself to snacks, dried figs, homemade grape brandy, various liqueurs, home-made juices. Njeguški prosciutto, various home-made cheeses, proja, olives, garden salad, home-made bread are served as appetizers, and lamb or veal with potatoes under the sac, nettle soup is prepared for the main course. Everything is prepared according to old recipes, in the old-fashioned way, from food from the village.
From the place where the mountain winds from Orjen and the sea from below melt like hair, there is a wonderful view from 700 meters above sea level. The view from the village guvna, or from the gate of the church of St. Nicholas, built in 1550, is especially beautiful.
In the hinterland of Budva there are exceptional places like Челобрда (hills above Sveti Stefan), from where there is a fantastic view of Sveti Stefan, Milocer… The place is known for its medieval monasteries: Praskavica Monastery, the most famous monastery in the area and a renovated women’s monastery Rustovo Monastery. In the Rustovo monastery, the nuns maintain a monastery estate within which they have a mini zoo, several churches, a park and a workshop of healing balms and creams.
In addition to them, the tradition of the Pashtrov region is preserved monastery in Reževići, which in the old way produces olive oil from the monastery olive grove. Although it is part of the tourism metropolis, this area is different, quieter, but hospitality, love and tradition is something that is felt at every step. You can end the tour of the Budva hinterland with dinner at the family household Radjenović “Blue Mediterranean” in Skočiđevojka. “Catch” the magical sunset on the terrace of Radjenović who greet guests with original coastal dishes that cannot be found in restaurants. Fantastic pleasure and a plate of flavors await you, starting with Lusat prosciutto, oil cheese, homemade olives and some coastal gastronomic rarities such as Pastrovac mackerel and cheesecake, which are prepared in this family according to old recipes preserved as part of the tradition and culinary heritage of this region , and you can learn with the hosts to make pastor mackerel skins.
In the hinterland of Bar, only half an hour drive from the city center, on the southern slopes of Rumija, on the border of Bar and Ulcinj municipality there is a canyon “Međureč” in the village of the same name.
