BELGRADE, Serbia, June 25 (SeeNews) – Serbian company Candy Rush plans to invest 8 million euros (9.6 million US dollars) to build a chocolate factory in the northern city of Sabac, the city government said.
Candy Rush plans to move the chocolate production of the insolvent local company Industrije hrane Dunja from Vranje to Sabac and open 120 jobs at the new production site, Sabac Mayor Aleksandar Pajic said in a press release earlier this week.
The new factory will have a floor space of 6,000 square feet adjacent to Candy Rush’s existing manufacturing facility in Sabac, Pajic said.
In April, Candy Rush won an auction for Industrije hrane Dunja assets, including the Simka chocolate factory in Vranje.
“We plan to open Simka in the near future, where high-quality chocolate is produced and sold on the world market. We are extremely satisfied with the conditions in Sabac. Sabac is an ideal destination because it is close to Belgrade, where we are have a distribution center for all of Serbia, “said Candy Rush owner Rade Joksimovic.
The Serbian company Rim Group, in which the Serbian citizens Rade Joksimovic and Miljan Joksimovic each hold 50% of the shares, owns the entire capital of the Belgrade Candy Rush, according to data from the Serbian commercial register.
