A case that even hunters do not remember has been happening in the last 10 days in the village of Pepeljevac near Krusevac, but locals testify that the roe deer broke into the yards of family houses and in the hamlet of Bekčići, the villages of Cerova and Lukavac.
Pereljevac resident Zorica Zivadinovic (63) was the first victim of a roe deer, she was injured on July 15 in the garden while plucking onions. Fortunately, she was there with her husband, so they managed to defend themselves together.
– He came at me, stabbed me, so I somehow managed to grab him by the horns, until my husband arrived – Zorica Zivadinovic testified for “Novosti”.
– Her husband also grabbed him by the horns and the roe deer poked him when he was released. He still managed to inflict three stab wounds on my legs, and I also have cuts. The husband was also injured. I’m still receiving therapy, I’m being bandaged regularly.
Zorica testifies that in the 40 years she has lived in Pepeljevac, she has never experienced or heard anything like that.
At the other end of the village, a roe deer jumped into the yard from a bush and attacked two underage girls, Sara (6) and Višnja (10). Their father, Igor Velinov, says it all happened on Friday.
– I came home from work around 7pm, went to take a shower and heard the kids screaming – says Igor Velinov.
– I flew outside and saw a roe deer. He jumped over the pool, hit Sarah in the back, ripped her head off. Višnja started defending her sister, so he cut her on the stomach as well. Fortunately, there were two more children from my sister, they managed to escape. I grabbed the roe deer by the horns until all the children were safe and let go. He immediately flew into the meadow and fled towards the dredge.
Velinov, when he stabbed a roe deer in the fist and injured his big toe, states that there were two to three more cases of roe deer attacks in a circle of about 600 to 700 meters.
– When my sister fell, I thought she fainted, but she pretended to be unconscious because she saw it in the cartoon. – says Višnja Velinov.
– He hurt me when I fell at the door.
