The Republic Hydrometeorological Institute issued a warning of heavy showers with thunder.
In the area of Serbia, the local occurrence of heavier showers with thunder is still expected today (with the amount of precipitation greater than 20 mm in 3 hours) with the tendency of gradual stabilization of the weather in the afternoon and evening. Locally, weather disasters are expected with hail, strong wind and a large amount of precipitation.
A hydrological warning was also issued stating that small torrential watercourses in the basins of Jadra, Kolubara, Crnica, Lepenica, Lugomir, Resava, Ravanica, Mlava and Timok with tributaries could cause short-term sudden rises in water levels with smaller local outflows.
By the way, it will be mostly cloudy in Serbia today, with occasional rain and showers with thunder, and more precipitation is expected in the first part of the day.
From noon in the north, until the end of the day and in other parts, the precipitation stops and the clouds gradually decrease. Lowest temperature from 16 to 20, highest from 24 to 28 degrees Celsius.
The orange meteorological alarm is in force in eastern, southwestern Serbia and in Kosovo and Metohija due to heavy rains and thunderstorms.
Meteorological problems can be experienced by heart patients, who are recommended to reduce physical activity, and people with respiratory diseases are also advised to be careful.
Meteorological reactions can cause nervousness and reduced working ability, so additional caution is recommended for traffic participants.
