Spinacholli’s broken Achilles tendon will pause for months
Roma football player Leonardo Spinacola injured his Achilles tendon because he will not be on the field for a long time.
The representative of Italy had to be taken off the field on a stretcher after the injury he suffered in the 78th minute of the match with Belgium.
The Italians celebrated with 2: 1, but Spinacola’s injury silenced the celebration in the camp of Robert Mancini’s team.
“Sky Italy” reported that Spinacola was in tears as he was leaving the field, and according to the first information, he tore his Achilles tendon.
That could practically mean a break of several months, so he will certainly not be ready for the start of the season in Serie A.
The first estimates are that he will take a break for at least four months, but everything will depend on the degree of the injury.
He was replaced on the field by Emerson Palmieri, who will most likely keep that position near the left out line and in the match with Spain.
The semi-final match at Euro 2020 is scheduled for Tuesday, July 6, and will be played at Wembley in London.
Spinacoli’s Achilles tendon article, which will be paused for months, first appears on Vesti online.
