Serbian basketball players won a gold medal at the European Championship victory against France, and after the match they thanked the nation for its support.
“The match was great. From the beginning, we showed that we came to take the gold. 12 of us, everyone did their part to win the gold. Now we are going to celebrate,” said the captain of the national team, Jelena Brooks.
There is no giving up, was the common message of the golden basketball players, and Nevena Jovanović said that they showed that they are a team and that they are not yet aware that they are European champions.
Ana Dabović pointed out that she is proud of the team and that it is a great thing for such a small country to have two European champion titles.
