The dialogue with Serbia should result in a binding agreement, which ensures the recognition of the independence of the so-called Kosovo, said Kosovo President Vjosa Osmani.
She stated that at the meeting with the Undersecretary of State for Foreign Affairs and Security in the Finnish ICJ, Kai Sauer, reports Lajmi.
Osmani briefed the Finnish diplomat on the preparations and approach of state institutions for dialogue with Serbia, emphasizing that it is very important for Serbia to show readiness for dialogue and that priority should be given to the issue of missing persons.
She thanked Sauer for the continuous care of Finland and the people of that country for the international affirmation of Kosovo.
The President reiterated Kosovo’s position that Euro-Atlantic integration is a strategic commitment and reiterated Kosovo’s readiness to move towards that goal as soon as possible.
– The European Union is our choice. We treat the conditions set for EU integration primarily as goals that we want to fulfill for the benefit of our citizens – she said.
