The president of the Social Democratic Party, Dardan Molićaj, stated that Kurti accepted the Union of Serbian Municipalities, which was prepared by Catherine Ashton.
And she is now working on that as an advisor to the EU mediator for dialogue, Miroslav Lajcak, Reporters writes.
– I believe that Kurti accepted the SSO, although he often declares himself against it. Saying that the Community cannot be mono-ethnic, he leads the game with words, that is his tactic – Molićaj thinks.
He also says that the company run by Catherine Ashton, a former high-ranking EU official, who now works as an advisor to Miroslav Lajcak, submitted a 16-page document related to the JCC, trying to explain how to implement the idea adopted in 2015, using of different expressions.
– Therefore, terms related to executive powers should not be used, although the Community should have them. Also, the term ZSO should not be used, but another term, because it will not be an ethnic association, since there are other communities in those municipalities – said Molićaj.
Although the American ambassador to Kosovo, Philip Cosnet, said that Kosovo should form the JCC, Mollicaj does not see it as pressure on Kurti, but only as a strategy of communication in public, in order to help the Kosovo prime minister accept this agreement.
– This international pressure is not pressure on Kurti, it is pressure on the society in Kosovo. In order to maintain relations with the United States and the European Union, we would have to accept that. I don’t know if they agreed on that, but it suits both sides – said Molićaj.
