Protective mask
As of tomorrow, restrictions on coronavirus will be lifted for 40 million Italians, Minister of Health Roberto Speranza decided, reports the Ansa agency.
The decision was made after a two-week analysis of the epidemiological situation in the regions that are now moving into the so-called “white zone”.
The incidence of Covid-19 infections is below 50 people per 100,000 inhabitants, which, according to Minister Sperance, is currently the best situation in Europe.
– In order to be able to fully enjoy this freedom, it is necessary for citizens to continue to respect basic measures, which means to wear protective masks, to avoid large gatherings and to apply basic hygiene measures – said Minister Speranza.
It is estimated that in the remaining regions of Sicily, Marche, Tuscany, the Province of Bolzano, Calabria, Basilicata e Campania, it will be possible to lift the restrictive measures in seven days.
In Italy, citizens still have to wear protective masks indoors and outdoors.
Health authorities announce that the measure will be lifted at the beginning of next month.
