The Russian government has determined the list of enemy countries, and it includes the United States of America and the Czech Republic. The relevant document was published on the official legal information portal.
According to the document, the diplomatic mission of the Czech Republic can employ a maximum of 19 workers from Russia, and the United States – none.
“Approve the attached list of foreign states undertaking hostile actions against Russia, Russian citizens or Russian legal entities against which countermeasures are applied, determined by the decree of the President of Russia of April 23, 2021 №243 on the application of countermeasures to hostile actions of foreign states” , the document states.
Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova also said that Moscow expects Washington to comply with this measure by August 1, and that the issue has been put to an end and that decision can no longer be changed.
It should be reminded that the President of Russia, Vladimir Putin, signed a Decree on the application of countermeasures against countries that have taken hostile actions against Russia.
The document was adopted in order to protect the interests and security of Russia. According to that document, the conclusion of employment contracts and other similar agreements between diplomatic missions, consular missions, representations of state bodies of foreign states that have taken hostile actions against Russia and natural persons on the territory of Russia is limited.
