Strong infrastructure: Built highways
In an interview for Sarajevo’s Facebook TV, President Aleksandar Vučić said that the absolute goal of Serbia is peace in the region. In the Presidency of Serbia in Novi Dvor, Vučić answered provocative questions to journalist Senad Hadžifejzović, so he pointed out that BiH has no reason to be afraid.
– The problem is that Serbia is not weak today, the stronger it is economically. And all the peoples in BiH should be happy because Serbia is growing. I am one of the few politicians who does not have to flatter anyone in Europe or the world. We can be a machine for growth here, and we would all like to escape from the Balkans – said Vučić and added that the entire region should cooperate.
The president rejected the accusations that a great Serbia was being created. He pointed out that for him, Serbia is great when it is economically stable and advanced, and that is why the goal is set to reach an average salary of 900 euros by 2025.
– For me, Serbia is great when, apart from the people of Banja Luka who love Belgrade, Sarajevans come and say: “Well, we had a good time and no one looked at us sideways” – said Vučić.
Of course, the question was asked whether there was genocide in Srebrenica, and Vučić pointed out that he was committed to preserving the memory of the victims.
Respect all victims
– To know what the Serbs in Jasenovac and Jadovna went through. My family was killed by Croats and our houses were burned down. Genocide is the extermination of one nation. Why didn’t anyone in BiH, which was occupied by the NDH, think of accusing another country of genocide. Jasenovac was a camp for the extermination of people, but that is part of history and I don’t think I should tell every Croat that they did that.
What is the meaning of legal qualification (genocide), unless you are planning some moves against Serbia in the future? You live for the past – Vucic pointed out.
He pointed out that Serbia supports the integrity of BiH and that there are divided competencies between RS, the Federation of BiH and the central state.
You have no enemies
– Those are your things. I love Republika Srpska, as I respect BiH. And I have a question for you. Why do many people from the Sarajevo public, not to mention politicians, want to present someone as an enemy where they do not have it – said Vučić and added that the territory of BiH is not needed by Serbia, which is the most stable in the region in every sense.
The President also pointed out that he did not see the document on the peaceful separation of BiH, which the Slovenian media claim was written by their Prime Minister Janez Jansa and handed over to the top of the EU.
– Should Serbia recognize the independence of Kosovo in order to get Srpska. This is not going to happen because it is neither realistic nor good. I have to point out the hypocrisy. When they ask Bosniak politicians, they say that Kosovo is independent, and they are the last to say that, for many reasons. Who are they to destroy the integrity of Serbia? Does Serbia want to recognize that the NATO bombing was an act pleasing to God – said Vučić.
I guarantee peace
Hadžifejzović asked President Vučić why Serbia has military exercises so often and why it boasts of weapons.
– Of course I will brag, so we will not be proud of destroying the army. Do not invent the creation of a war, because there will be none. I will not play war, nor will any mother ever see her child in a box. We want peace, my word is your guarantee. Until two years ago, Croatia had a significantly stronger army than Serbia, so no one bothered – said Vučić.
We have to cooperate
President Vučić pointed out that he was in favor of joining the EU.
– I am a rational person and I look after the interests of my country. My job is to make the citizens of Serbia live better. However, if we were the best in the world, we would not accept anyone from our region at this moment, because they are not ready. That is why we must unite here. My idea is to open the borders and cooperate – said Vučić.
The solution is in justice
Vučić pointed out that Serbia has the right to a fair solution to many issues.
– You cannot make peace in the Balkans by humiliating someone, especially the strongest people. I have never advocated for a frozen conflict with Pristina, but for solutions. I protected my own interests, but I also tried to understand those of other nations – said Vučić.
Well done for the vaccination!
The director of the World Health (WHO) for Europe, Hans Kluge, met with the President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, and pointed out that the vaccine is the only way to get the world out of the coronary virus pandemic.
– I am grateful that I was given the opportunity to get vaccinated in Belgrade, but I did not do that because it would not be right for my colleagues in Denmark. However, I have to comment on Serbia because it is a global leader in vaccination – said Kluge.
He pointed out that he noticed great solidarity in Serbia and that care was taken for the elderly, people living in villages, the Roma population… Also, that Serbia cooperated better with other countries and that this will increase in terms of cardiovascular disease.
