RTS :: Saving electrical energy doesn’t imply disconnecting from the mouth, “Diloyt” has its personal plan
During the summer, our country imported between 4 and 12 percent of electricity, and in the past few days only one percent. Better hydrology and wind improved the situation.
In less than a year, one billion and one hundred million euros were spent on imports. The Government says that all energy sources are sufficient, restrictions are not planned, but savings measures are a priority for the country.
Analyzes show that saving 15 percent of electricity is enough to avoid importing electricity.
Željko Marković, the leader for energy at “Dilojt”, said, in a guest appearance on RTS’s Dnenvik, that this is an ambitious goal, but it can be saved.
“We all have to mobilize, both the economy and the population, and to be concise and constantly engaged on the way to savings throughout the winter season,” said Marković, adding that this would result in savings.
Two aspects of motivation to save
Speaking about how to motivate households to save, Marković says that there are two aspects of motivation, one is saving in terms of financial savings, the price for the economy is 95 euros per megawatt-hour and when the grid fee is added to that, it exceeds 120 euros and each the kilowatt-hour we save will affect our financial position.
For households, although the price is slightly lower, discounts have been prepared for citizens who save.
It is important for all of us – to save as much as possible, rely less on imports, and thus be more energy secure in the next season, says Marković.
Savings plan in “Diloit”
“For financial reasons, we as Deloitte decided to save because our electricity bill is twice as high as the last price increase,” Marković noted.
“We have planned to change light bulbs with LED bulbs. The second measure where the biggest savings are – we control thermal consumers, since we are already connected to the district heating system in the winter season, we will disable the use of air conditioners and individual heating elements located in the office,” he pointed out. Markovic.
The third measure is the open door policy for more even heating of the space, the flex model of work, we don’t work all five days in the office, so based on that redistribution of working time, we can organize ourselves to use the space more efficiently, Marković further stated.
He also said that on each floor they have more employees involved to control, and after the work is finished, the technical security turns off all the lights and everything else that is turned on.
How austerity measures fit in with the European ones
Marković says that there are no different recipes for savings, it is important to achieve energy efficiency measures and savings do not mean renunciation and separation from the mouth, but a way to smartly use less electricity to achieve the same goal.
He reminds that in the West they had to introduce criminal penalties, but that there is no punishment here. In the West, in this commercial segment, in the economy, the temperature can be controlled and, if it is not within the given range, a fine can be charged, in Spain, for example, there are high fines.
Energetic efficiency
Speaking about energy efficiency, Marković said that it is a new source that can help us a lot to compensate for missing capacities.
“Measures are limited, but in our country, where energy efficiency has not been done much in the past decades, there is room,” says the leader for energy at “Diloit”.
Where we can help the country is production on the deistbutine side, where consumption is located, that is solar panels, especially for companies as well as for households, he says.
We import less electricity these days. “The hydraulic situation will improve and we can expect more stable production,” concluded Marković.
