Gentle signaling from Ćuprije – the Turkish manufacturing facility plans to rent one other 500 employees
In the place where the ice was, next to the highway Belgrade-Niš, there are now the plants of the Turkish factory “Feka Automotiv”. They produce light signaling, lights for vehicle interiors and mirrors for “Volkswagen”, “Renault”, “Porsche”, “Fiat”.
“It’s not hard, I’m satisfied, it’s great,” says Mirjana Zafirović, a worker.
She adds that she is satisfied with her salary and that she was among the first to start working two and a half years ago.
“This company offers us a lot of opportunities to learn new things, the salaries are excellent, the conditions are satisfactory and they provide us with a great opportunity for advancement and improvement”, assesses Vojkan Ivanović, team leader.
Managers from Turkey are also satisfied
Manager Refik Muharem has been living in Ćuprija with his family for about three years.
“I am very satisfied that I live here and work with my Serbian colleagues. We only have two Turkish workers, I am completely satisfied and I think it will get better and better,” Muharem points out.
The Turkish factory is the first greenfield investment in the Ćuprije industrial zone, and they invested 15 million euros.
“I strongly recommend people who want to invest in Serbia, and especially in Ćuprija, to do so. We plan to double our investments here by 2024,” emphasized Serkan Kuruoğlu, general manager of Feka Automotive.
The municipality has already provided an additional two hectares for the construction of the new factory.
“Feka Automotive has signed a contract with Fiat, which means that in the coming period, it will have to build another plant, which will total 15,000 square meters. This is very important for the people of Ćuprič, of course, and for the people of Paraćin and Jagodin, because 500 workers will be employed in these two plants”, points out Ninoslav Erić, President of the Municipal Assembly.
A thousand workers are employed in the facilities of the “Fekina” factory in Turkey, and the general manager of that family company says that their goal is the same number of employees in Serbia.
