This duel will be played from 9 pm at the “Nou Camp” stadium. A statement from the Catalan club states that a match between the women’s teams of Barcelona and Roma will be played beforehand.
The two teams met in the Joan Gamper Cup in 2015, and then Barcelona won 3-0 with goals from Neymar, Messi and Rakitic.
The duel between Barcelona and Roma will be the last preparatory match for both teams before the start of the new season in Serie A and La Liga, which is planned for August 13.
Roma coach Jose Mourinho was an assistant to Louis van Gaal in Barcelona from 1996 to 2000.
Former Serbian national team player Nemanja Matić will play for Roma next season.
